How much does a cake topper cost in Kenya, and what about drips, flowers or a photo print? At Norie's Cake Atelier in Machakos, a message topper costs KES 200 and an acrylic topper KES 250. Toppers: message vs acrylic
A message topper (KES 200) carries a short line such as "Happy 30th, Wanjiku" or "Congratulations". An acrylic topper (KES 250) is a cut-out sign, often in gold or silver mirror finish, that stands upright and photographs well. Keep wording short: names and one phrase work better than full sentences.
Edible image prints (KES 500)
A photo, cartoon character or company logo printed on edible paper and laid on the cake. Send a clear, high-resolution image. Very dark or busy photos print less clearly, so we may suggest a crop.
Drips (KES 300)
Chocolate or caramel running down the sides of the cake. It adds height and drama at a low cost and suits adult birthdays especially well. It pairs naturally with chocolate fudge, salted caramel or Snickers flavours.
Fresh flowers (KES 400 to 800)
Fresh flowers make an elegant wedding, anniversary or "for her" cake. The price depends on the quantity and type. We use flowers in a food-safe way and agree placement with you; the venue's decor team should not add flowers to the cake on the day.
Gold leaf or dust (KES 300)
A touch of gold gives a luxurious finish on a plain buttercream cake, which is a cost-effective way to make a Classic flavour look premium.
Fondant figures (KES 500 to 1,500)
Hand-made figures such as characters, graduation caps, animals or numbers. Simple shapes are at the lower end; detailed figures take hours and cost more. Order these at least 7 days ahead.
Sprinkles, meringue or macarons (KES 300 to 600) and fresh berries (KES 400)
Great for colourful kids' cakes and modern "loaded" designs.
Flavour and filling upgrades (KES 300 each)
An extra filling layer, cream cheese filling or frosting, or fresh fruit between layers. Cream cheese frosting is the most popular upgrade on red velvet and carrot cakes.

Pastries to go with the cake
For bigger groups or a dessert table, our pastry menu stretches a cake further: classic cupcakes KES 150 each (box of 6 for KES 850, 12 for KES 1,650), signature cupcakes KES 200, classic fudge brownies KES 150, loaded brownies KES 200, stuffed cookies KES 180, cinnamon rolls KES 250, glazed doughnuts KES 100, and dessert cups such as tiramisu, Biscoff cheesecake, tres leches and banana pudding at KES 300 each (box of 4 for KES 1,100). Mini cupcakes are KES 100 each with a minimum of 12.

Our cakes and pastries contain gluten, eggs and dairy, and may contain nuts. Please tell us about any allergy when you order. We would rather tell you honestly that something is not suitable than risk a guest's health.

- Build your cake on the order page: flavour, size, add-ons, date, and pickup or delivery. It shows your total and 50% deposit as you go.
- Tap to send the summary to Norie on WhatsApp (0711 536 504), adding any design photos.
- We confirm the design, the date and any delivery fee.
- Pay the 50% deposit by M-Pesa to 0711 536 504 to secure your date.
- Pay the balance before pickup or delivery.

Booking terms in brief
- Order at least 3 days ahead; custom designs need 7 days; wedding and multi-tier cakes need 3 to 4 weeks.
- Rush orders under 48 hours cost 10 to 15% more, subject to availability.
- A 50% M-Pesa deposit to 0711 536 504 confirms your date; the balance is due before pickup or delivery. Deposits are non-refundable, and date changes are free with 72 hours' notice.
- Pickup is at Machakos Celebration Centre. Delivery within Machakos town is KES 300 to 500; further away is priced by distance.
- Cakes contain gluten, eggs and dairy, and may contain nuts. Mention allergies when you order.
